About the Venue
Located on the historic Trinity Wharf at the South East
end of Cairns City. Cairns is the gateway to the Tropical
of Far North Queensland and to the famous Great Barrier
Reef and the ancient wet tropics Rain Forests of Australia.
The cafe has been constructed on the site of the original
Wharf One shed. The heavy timber construction is entirely
recycled timber from Wharf One shed. The sheds were
storage for the vast produce of the tropical north.
Largely sugar and then bananas, tropical fruit, timber,
semiprecious metal and even some tea and coffee.
The wharf serviced the needs of the second World war
and even hosted Queen Elizabeth and the Royal
Yacht on march 13, 1954.
