If you’re not sure how many people are going to turn up, just go for the one that most accurately reflects the size of the audience you hope to attract and the venue type you envisage hosting your screening event.
1. THE BASICS
Red Dot Cinema allows anyone, anywhere to host a screening of Red Dot Cinema programme – a feature length programme of the best and most innovative short films from Asia. In essence, we provide the programme and you promote and host the screening. Before you buy a license you'll be asked to fill your details in a form - this helps us coordinating the screening. At the webpage you’ll be asked to register for a Red Dot Cinema account, which means giving us your details and telling us a little bit about your proposed screening event. You then pay online and we’ll send you a e-license agreement to sign and return. Once that’s done, we’ll send you a link to download the programme and media kit for you to use at your screening. The programme is currently available in English, with English subtitle for non-English films.
2. THE LICENSE
When you buy a license you are buying permission to screen a Red Dot Cinema Programme once and once only, on a single date to be mutually agreed. Your screening needs to happen within the stated months because these are the dates we’ve cleared the films for with the filmmakers. Every three months we’ll come up with a new programme of short films for you to purchase and screen.
Licenses are granted on a case-by-case basis. Red Dot Cinema reserve the right to deny or cancel a license.
Upon purchasing a licence, the Screening Partner (that’s you) is granted permission to use the Red Dot Cinema trademark logo but only as part of the approved promotional material provided by Red Dot Cinema and only in connection with the agreed screening event. We’ll send you a link to download these materials once you’ve bought a license.
As an official Screening Partner your event details will be posted on our worldwide screening map. Red Dot Cinema will also post details of your event on our social media sites, including the Red Dot Cinema Facebook event page. It is your responsibility to inform Red Dot Cinema of any changes of venue and/or date since submitting your licence application. It is important that Red Dot Cinema promote the correct screening details to our global audiences.
3. CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND YOUR DETAILS
Red Dot Cinema reserves the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please note that by supplying your contact details before purchasing your license, you grant permission for Red Dot Cinema to contact you regarding upcoming events and opportunities in the future (but we won’t ever share these with third parties without your permission).
