“Another Kyoto, the Tea”is part of the 3 episodes short films for “Another Kyoto”.

A husband and wife who have been married for 10 years were on a trip to Kyoto for a holiday. Somehow, they broke into an argument and ended up going about separately by themselves. The wife came all by herself to a tea plantation to discover Kyoto’s green tea. Enjoying the beautiful landscape of Kyoto’s famous Japanese tea, she got a little relief from the earlier argument she had with her husband.

The southern part of Kyoto (Uji-city, Joyo-city, Yawata-city, Kyotanabe-city, Kizugawa-city, Kumiyama, Ide, Ujitawara, Kasagi, Wazuka,Seika, Minamiyamashiro) is famous for growing tea with the oldest history, and remarkable landscape of tea plantations. Even up to today this area produces the best quality green tea in the world. Since it has been registered as a world heritage, Kyoto continues to promote Japan’s tea culture to the world under the brand “Uji Tea”. Much effort has also been put into maintaining the tea’s high quality, as well as protecting the beautiful landscape.
