It was a night festival in a village. A young boy, Bunroku was out having fun with his friends. On the way, they stopped by a clog shop, where he found out about an old superstition that he would turn into a fox. This animation "FOX FEARS" is created based on one of the late works, "FOX" by a famous Japanese author, Niiminankichi. It is about the worry of this young boy after he was told about the superstitious fox story, the love between mother and son, and farewell of love ones. I am very interested in this story about the relationship between the fox and the young boy, and the development into a story of family and kinship. I also have a similar experience as the young boy, who started questioning his own existence, and felt lonely for the first time in life, as I was growing up. As I was making this animation, I wrote the script based on the original "FOX", and constructed the story according to the perspective of the main character. This animation is made by having the images drawn on glass panels with paint and sand, and photos where taken for each image.
